The PaperTag Residency
A platform for artists to amplify their voices and bring bold ideas to life.
What Residents Receive:
A custom-designed feature on the PaperTag website for one month
Public relations support, including press release creation and media coordination
Weekly project development check-ins with our team
Promotional assistance via newsletters and social media
Merchandise design, with 50/50 profit sharing
Potential financial assistance and equipment support
What Residents Provide:
A main project deliverable (e.g., short film, series of paintings, performance piece)
A written article to accompany the project
Four social media posts promoting the residency
Weekly content for PaperTag’s platform (minimum 1 post/week)
One end-of-residency interview
Participation in weekly Zoom check-ins with the Residency Manager
Who Can Apply:
Creatives 18+ residing in the United States
Artists working in any expressive medium—digital art, videography, writing, music, dance, and more
Applicants with or without previous work samples (statement of interest accepted)
Application Requirements:
One-page project overview (double-spaced, AP style)
1–2 samples of past work or a statement of interest

$10 non-refundable application fee

The PaperTag Residency is a collaborative partnership between the artist and PaperTag. If your project is fully or partially funded, it must include official acknowledgment of PaperTag’s support. Equipment or materials funded by PaperTag will remain PaperTag property.

The PaperTag Residency is a month-long creative residency program designed to support emerging and established artists across the United States. Through this residency, artists receive dedicated space to showcase their work, develop new ideas, and engage with wider audiences—all while receiving tailored support in media, communications, project development, and creative direction.
Whether you’re a painter, poet, videographer, dancer, or designer, if you have a vision and a message, we want to hear from you. PaperTag provides residents with PR support, website features, and promotional opportunities. While funding is not guaranteed, financial assistance and equipment support are available based on need and availability—just submit a draft budget with your application.
